As a world leader in the design and manufacturing of refuse collection vehicles, Dennis Eagle approached us to produce a dynamic video and supporting artwork for their highly anticipated ‘Ride and Drive Day’ event.
The event, developed by Dennis Eagle, was designed to showcase their range of vehicles to existing and new clients. Whilst also highlighting their capabilities across multiple terrains.
The ‘Ride and Drive Day’ was held at the famous Millbrook Proving Ground – the largest vehicle test centre in Europe – which emcompasses 50 miles of multiple terrain test tracks.
Our strategy focused on producing on-brand artwork, which succinctly outlined the trucks available and promote the ‘drive the 5 and win’ competition – attendees were encouraged to test drive all Dennis Eagle vehicles on the day for a chance to win an apple watch. To capture the overall success of the day, a dynamic video would be produced.
The first step was to outline what artwork was needed for the event. Banners, on-screen graphics and bespoke passes for each driver were created in line with the Dennis Eagle branding.
An energetic and dynamic video capturing the highlights of the event were filmed using state-of-the-art equipment and contemporary editing techniques.
To ensure every angle was captured, a mixture of filming techniques were used; from gimbals to drones. A variety of shots were used to add depth and interest – from the opening presentation and views of the test track to inside cabin footage.
Capturing the real essence of the event was at the forefront of our filming strategy.
Each shot taken from the drone, handheld cameras and also stills allowed us to create a dynamic and interesting video. In car Gopros were also utilized to show the view from inside the vehicles to add colour to the video and capture the energy from the event.
After reviewing the vast amounts of footage, the final video successfully captured the extensive range and capabilities of the Dennis Eagle vehicles and highlighted the success of the day.
The editing team applied a contemporary and dynamic editing style to give a high-energy feel to the final video. Voiceovers were also implemented throughout the video, where relevant, to give the video context. And finally, background music was utilized to suit the shot style and to add a finishing touch.
The video can now be used as a promotional asset. From sharing across social channels, to promoting future events and trade show exhibitions.
“It was great to work in such a varied and fascinating environment. The mixture of vehicles and track types allowed us to utilise drone and gimbal footage to create a really dynamic end result”
