Pike Signals are a leading manufacturer of portable traffic control equipment. They pride themselves in providing innovative solutions for minimised traffic disruption and safer traffic regulation. Their latest innovation enables their signals to integrate with a city’s Urban Traffic Control network. This means their portable signals can be remotely controlled alongside a city’s main traffic lights to help ease congestion and keep cities moving.
Having won the Queens Award for Enterprise Innovation, Pike approached Jask with the challenge of updating their brand identity and creating a new website to better reflect their innovative nature.
The first step was to create a new brand style to reflect the benefits of their latest innovations. By utilising blurred city backdrops alongside Chevron icons, we were able to convey how Pikes signals improve the flow of traffic within Cities.
Carrying this visual style through to the website, we were able to utilise high impact videography of a busy city street on the Home page to capture the interest of site visitors and represent how Pike facilitates seamless traffic movement.
Having carried out a photoshoot on-site, we were able to carry these visual assets over to the website to help showcase the products and capture the essence of the business.
Refining the user experience on the site, we set up alternate user journeys to cater for both site visitors who know the products they required and those that needed assistance in finding the right product for their application.
With a bold and engaging design, we utilise full screen takeover menus to aid the user in their online journey. Downloadable assets such as product user guides and manuals are tagged to the relevant product and also stored within a resource area for ease. A site search function and prominent enquiry forms are also featured to further aid the user.
Launched with a new stand at the UKs largest highways exhibition, Traffex, the refreshed brand identity and new website have helped elevate Pike above the competition.
Warmly received by all stakeholders, the bold and contemporary style helps reflect the innovative nature of the company, while the streamlined website has resulted in a vastly improved on-line experience.
