Poundland required a look book (catalogue) to act as a showcase piece for a PR event to launch their Christmas product range, which could be ultimately edited for a consumer audience.
Used as a key tool when speaking to journalists and designed to provide inspiration to customers, the look book needed the wow factor to leave customers amazed at the quality and value of the product range that could be purchased for such a fiercely competitive price – £1, £2 and £5.
Designed to give a high-end, fun and friendly feel, the festive creative mixes lifestyle imagery alongside individual cut out product images and illustrations.
With the product range falling under different categories, we created distinct identities for each theme in the look book to keep the reader engaged with fresh visuals throughout. The identities developed for these themes were then used as part of the launch event branding.
With a vast number of products to cover, careful planning was needed in the organisation of the content, page plan and page layout, while a timeline was provided in order to achieve a very tight deadline. Printed copies provided featured a white foil to the covers to carry through the high-end feel.
The launch event proved a huge success, with the Christmas product range being well received by all those who attended. The look book proved a key tool when speaking to journalists about the new ranges and will be launched on their website later in the year to help inspire customers too. A very Merry Christmas indeed!
