The Challenge
Ropewalk approached us to refresh their brand identity and then to completely redesign and rebuild their website to better serve their legal audience.
With a heritage dating back around 100 years, it was important to retain familiarity in the brand, whilst projecting a modern, stylish new look.
The Process
Starting with a period of consultation with the Ropewalk team, we immersed ourselves in what clients and internal stakeholders of the chambers value, and the role that Ropewalk plays in the wider legal landscape.
Building on this insight, our creative team then started to explore the colours, shapes, patterns and typefaces that would ultimately help define the new visual identity. Crafting a series of custom illustrations, our team were able to really bring the chambers to life.
Working alongside our creative team, our developers simplified the user journey through the website and coded custom functionalities to improve the overall user experience.
With the profiles of barristers being paramount, the user journey within the site was developed around the most effective way to find the barristers you require. Our team coded custom functionality to enable selected barristers to be collated into a shortlist, giving users the ability to generate a bespoke brochure of barrister profiles for download or print.

The brand carries the flexibility to differentiate between key specialist areas, whilst retaining the consistency needed to ensure the brand is instantly recognisable wherever it is used.
With an improved user experience, the new website now acts as a central hub, providing easy access to barrister information and other key content.
The customised Content Management System enables Ropewalk to keep the site updated with ease, while hosting and support is all taken care of by our team.
