The Challenge
TACT approached us to modernise their website and significantly improve its performance. They also wanted a solution that would make ongoing updates and developments much simpler to manage.
Given that the website’s primary goal is to recruit foster carers, it was crucial that the new site resonated emotionally with potential carers, while providing clear and accessible information to guide them through their journey and encourage enquiries.
Enhancing the mobile experience was a key priority for TACT, as a large portion of its website visitors access the site via mobile devices.
The Solution
We began with a discovery session involving key stakeholders from TACT. Leveraging the extensive research TACT had already conducted, we gained a deep understanding of their users’ needs and expectations.
Using these insights, our team created new pages that offered enhanced flexibility and improved functionality. Once approved, our developers built the site using bespoke code and integrated the latest WordPress CMS featuring a custom block editor.
To ensure TACT could manage content independently, we refined the CMS further to include an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, allowing easy updates without technical expertise.

- Streamlined Enquiries: Contact forms are integrated with TACT’s Microsoft Dynamics CRM, ensuring all enquiries are routed efficiently.
- Job Listings Integration: A smart connection with the Reach Applicant Tracking System automatically populates job opportunities, reducing content duplication.
- Carer Portal Link: The site also features a direct link to the Carer Portal we previously built, giving carers seamless access to essential resources and information.
